Rain Davis

Yay, I'm an Aunt.....again!!! Dylan got a text at about 2:00 in the morning that his sister Carmen had her baby! Rain Davis was born at 12:01, the first minute of the day. She was 7 pounds 13 ounces and is just the cutest little thing ever! We went up to Davis Hospital to see them this morning and both mommy and baby are doing really well. Carmen is such a trooper and had a natural birth - which just amazes me! She is such a strong person and I just love her and her little family. October seemed to be pretty excited about having a baby sister. Carmen said she is already mothering the baby!! Here are some pics, of course

It's Not My Birthday

So, Saturday morning Madison came into my room to wake me up and I said "Madi, it's your birthday! Happy Birthday!" in which she replied "No it's not....wait...." She ran out into the living room, then ran back into my room and said "No it's not...there isn't any presents, there isn't any cake." It was so cute! Well, my Dad and Donna took Madi and Corbin to go see Madagascar 2 and then when they got back we had dinner and then cake and ice cream. She got some really cute clothes, flash cards and a butterfly barbie! She loved all of her presents and especially loved the cake and ice cream...and the movie!! I think she had a pretty good birthday and I still can't believe my baby girl is FIVE years old! That just blows me away! Well, here are some pics of the day:

Happy Halloween!!

On Friday night, I got home from work and we went over to my Dad's house to have some pizza and then took the kids trick or treating. We went with my Dad, Donna, Alecia, Corbin and Caden. It was so much fun and it was funny to see how different the kids are! Corbin is the oldest and couldn't get to each house fast enough. Madi was close behind him, smiling the whole way. Caden was running and running to keep up with the older ones, and he did a good job. Ethan on the other hand...well he is quite slow and on Ethan time so he was quite behind the group but he did his best to keep up! Here are some cute pics of the kids in their costumes.

Being put in ARM's way

You may or may not know, but Dylan is going in to have corrective surgery on his shoulder tomorrow. He has two tears in his rotary cuff and then some other thing that the doctor said that I didn't understand!! (Dylan is telling me it is an abnormality of the Glenoid, which is the bone that the arm pivots on when it moves) It all started a couple of months ago when Dylan started getting really bad pain in his shoulder. He said it just kept getting worse which made him able to sleep even less. For an insomniac that isn't very good news!

So he went to the doctor who refered him to a specialist (that's what doctors do, right!) and the specialist suggested he get an MRI and now he is getting the surgery. Oh, and he will be out of work for 3-6 months depending on his recovery time! Wow, how quick things can change! So since he is going to be out of work, we are pulling the kids out of school in a couple of weeks and Dylan is going to see what being a stay at home Dad is all about. He is actually pretty stoked to spend some quality time with the kids and do all that fun school stuff with them.

Keep him in your prayers and let's hope for a speedy recovery!! I know he will do great, he always does!!

Just a little update

Well, I don't have a lot to say, just feel like saying something! First off, I am so grateful for my cute little family. Each of them brings so much into my life and I feel so blessed to be part of such wonderfulness (is that a word?). I have the best husband ever who is always there for me and supporting everything I do. He is so kind to everyone and teaches me to be a better person. Madison is the funniest little girl ever. She is quite the character, always singing and dancing around the house. She is also very loving and creative....like her daddy! She loves to "read" her books. Or at least she thinks she is reading, but it is so freaking cute. Ethan is our dramatic boy and lives in his little bubble. He does not like it if you enter his bubble and will let you know when you have done so! However he is very attached to mommy and daddy and loves to be held....a little too much. I can't help but baby him though since I know I will never have another little one. He is also a little cuddler and I love snuggling with him to read a book or watch a cartoon!

Can I just say.....

I have not been feeling that great today so unfortunately I didn't go to watch Dylan's football game as I had planned on. They did an awesome job though and won their game!! Great job guys!! Anway, then after football Dylan went to go tailgate with his friends. I would have loved to go with him, however I have just been feeling so yuck! So since I have been home with the kids all day, and feeling crappy they have been doing a great job at taking care of me! Madi has been asking to do chores....I know ASKING!!! And Ethan has just wanted to cuddle with me and lay with me to make me feel better! They are just the cutest kids ever and I am just so grateful to have them in my life!! Got into a car accident

Okay, so this is kind of late, but I got in a car accident last Friday Sept. 19th. My good friend and co-worker Tiffany and I went to Arby's to pick up some yummy lunch and on the way back we were stopped at a red light and *CRASH* a Dodge Ram Hemi smashed into my car! Luckily Tiffany and I got out of it unscathed, with just a minor headache and backache. Here is what my car currently looks like! I know it is scary, but it is going in the shop on Monday!!
